The Ostrich Feather Course
We have a nine-hole golf course surrounding the school, which was named The Ostrich Feather Course in 2000. Its close proximity allows pupils to nip out for a quick couple of holes in their free time, or to have a more leisurely round on the weekends.
Cottesmore Golf and Country Club
Cottesmore Golf and Country Club is next door to the school and proves a very useful resource for the keen golfer. Our team often play home matches on the big course, adding a little gravitas and professionalism to the occasion.
Coaching
The professionals at the club come over to coach those who sign up at the beginning of term.
The Team
There is tight network of schools who play golf and our thriving golf team, represent Cottesmore in matches against other schools in the district.
Family Events
There are regular and highly popular family competitions, such as the Family Foursome's in the Winter Term and the Fathers and Son's competition in the Easter Term.
Golf 'Activity'
Any pupils can sign up for a golf 'activity'. This is an informal, but organised time to practise with the master in charge of golf.
